**Client Meeting Date: Thursday 20th, 6:30pm in Library 

 

 

2/18/2020

What We Did (as a class)

  • Discussed how to write annotated bibs and the abstracts for those annotations

  • Each member needs 4 sources and 2 written abstracts for Thursday’s class

  • Use ProQuest Central through IUPUI library as a database (google “proquest central iupui to get to the link)

  • Use Knight Cite to cite sources in APA that do not already have a citation made

 

What We Did (as a group)

Information for meeting with Isra on Thursday:

  • Meeting at 6:30-7:30 pm in room 4100B at the IUPUI Library 

  • Team members get to the library at 5:45 or 6:00 to discuss team policies/procedures for our team memo that will be due in the next few classes ??

  • Attire: casual but no sweatpants or leggings, nicer shirt and jeans

  • Roles at the meeting

    • First Introduction: Sophie (knows Isra) introduces everyone

      • Annemarie will get name tags for the meeting

    • Note taking: everyone (bring a laptop or notebook)

    • Question Asker: everyone, just organize the questions

    • Time Keeper: Annemarie

  • Potential questions to ask

    • Personal questions so that we can all understand  more about Isra/Dr. Marrs and why they are part of the organization

    • Our challenge is to look at event advertisements for IUPUI chapter of Women4Change.

    • Current strategies for advertising?

    • Target audience? 

      • Where would you like us to conduct the local study? We were thinking of asking people the following yes/no questions:

        • Have you heard of the Women4Change organization IUPUI’s campus?

        • If you have, are you a member? (just for a survey, CLARIFY THIS)

        • Have you heard or been to any of the events or service activities that they have put on and participated in?

    • Focus on one or all events? (they have a huge conference in April)

      • Advertise for monthly meetings as well?

    • Do you want us to get in touch with the marketing committee?

      • Are there any areas that you would like to improve on within that committee that we can recommend ideas for?

    • Discuss their social media accounts?

      • Would you like us to try to find ways to advertise through social media?

    • What obstacles have you encountered that have made advertising difficult?

    • Potential budget?

      • Advertisements want to primarily be paperless

  • Start researching good advertisement strategies and bring those up in the meeting as potential recommendations 


 

2/25/2020

What We Did (as a class)

  • Discussed how to write annotated bibs and the abstracts for those annotations on a deeper level and revised them 

  • Each member needs 4 sources and 4 written abstracts for Thursday’s class that are revised 

  • Discussed the importance of quickly reviewing good articles found by group members… group/ class activity 

 

What We Did (as a group)

  • Started Memo and assigned sections for each member: Are in shared google docs 

  • Discussed each members sources and their relevance 

2/27/2020

What We Did (as a class)

  • Received handout for 50 Minute team time 

  • Listened to 15 min presentation about weekend work 

  • Find more research articles (1-2 per week over the next 10 weeks) 


 

What We Did (as a group) 

  • Uploaded annotated bib completed 

  • Annemarie edited bib/ references page 

  • Lauren edited memo 

  • Double checked we had everything uploaded to our website to turn in team minutes, interview questions, notes from client interviews, etc.
