Goals for Shadowing
Below are the goals I set for myself before beginning my physical therapy shadowing experience. I set these goals so that I could track what I was learning as I shadowed, as well as to remain actively engaged each visit to ensure I was learning from the valuable experience I had the privilege of participating in. In my Reflection, I will discuss whether I achieved these goals and how I achieved them.
1. I want to try to start narrowing down a field of physical therapy that I am interested in working in (pediatric, geriatric, athletes, etc.)

2. I want to learn more about the profession and what the day-to-day at the clinic looks like

3. I want to learn more about patient interactions and how to handle different situations with different patients

4. I want to be able to start developing the skills I feel are needed as a PT, as outlined in the "Interest in Physical Therapy" page

5. I want understand from a physical therapist's perspective the similarities and differences in acute vs. chronic pain treatment and adult vs. pediatric care
